CRAZY LOVE

Not all understand this love we have for this special needs child that we never knew existed or had even met, until 4 months ago. How could we, or why would we, be willing to sacrifice so much to bring this child home to be a part of our family. It just doesn't make sense to many. Some would call this, a "crazy love." And as I thought about it......thats exactly what it is.  And probably only if you've been through or are going through an adoption like this, could you understand this "crazy love." Alot of the time, the process doesn't make sense. The amount of money doesn't make sense. And when you don't have it to spare......it sure doesn't make sense.  Leaving your family. Leaving your other children. Leaving your job. All for a little one you barely even know. CRAZY seems to be a pretty good word to fit this. But as I began to think about all this(something to do with actually getting the suitcases out to begin packing again I think!) and knowing exactly why we are doing this.......because of God and His love for us and Gabe.......I began to think about how God's love for me, for all of us, is really kinda "crazy" too.  He loves us so much, no matter what we do, what we say, where we go, even when we purposely push him away......He just has this CRAZY LOVE for us that we can't even fathom. I'm with Julia, I believe this love that drives us to willingly leave everything precious to us, and go into the unknown to give an orphaned child a home and family is this:  it's a window into the Love that God has, for us.  A crazy, sacrificial love.

Thankful, and praising His name for this "crazy love" He has for me, and for this "crazy love" He has put in me, for my soon to be son.  6 more days Gabe, and we're heading your way!
